My Story

Meet Teddy, Carly and Lily. These three are approximately seven year-old siblings, although it’s possible Teddy (the male) is from the same parents just a different litter. Sadly, their owner surrendered them to the county shelter because she is having major medical issues. The three dogs were absolutely petrified at the county shelter. They have done much better in a foster home. Our foster reports that they are sweet, happy, playful dogs. They sleep in the same bed together (see pics), and while they will do their own thing in the yard, they always check in with one another. These three came to us very overweight. Especially Teddy. We are working on getting their weight off in our own special doggy fat camp program. In our perfect world, we would really not want to separate these dogs. They’ve already lost their home and their owner and it doesn’t seem right that they should be separated from one another. On the other hand, we need to find them homes. If we do separate one from the other two, it would probably be Lily, the white and ginger colored female. She seems most comfortable with exploring by herself… But really, what’s the difference between two little dogs and three little dogs? Yes, it will cost a little more, but we can promise they will provide lots of love and entertainment. And you can’t put a price on saving their lives. The first part of our process is to have you complete our adoption application. This helps us make compatible matches. You can find the application on our indigorescue.org website under the Adoption tab. We’ll get back to you from there. **Please note: Indigo Rescue only adopts to homes within 30 miles of Beaverton, Oregon. Thank you!
