This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Meet Teddy Twilight - a 5 year old, Shih Tzu / Papillon / Poodle mix, who weighs 15 pounds (as of 8/17/24). Teddy Twilight and his brother, Enzo, were surrendered to our rescue because their previous family was growing and no longer able to care for the pups. They were very loved but the family wants these boys to get all of the attention and love that they deserve! They are not a bonded pair, so these boys are looking for new families to call their own.
His foster shares: "Teddy is a very energetic, playful, and outspoken pup! He is potty trained and crate trained. He well with people after introducing himself by sniffing and jumping up to say hello. He loves to cuddle and be picked up like a baby. He loves spending time outside and gets very excited when he meets new humans or other doggy friends. He has previously lived with kids ranging in age and was great with them. He loves going for rides in the car and knows basic commands. He is a chatty boy who loves to get head and belly rubs. He has previously lived with a dog, but would also be fine solo without a resident BFF. He is the best boy and we know he will make someone or a family incredibly happy!"
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
