Adopt Thelma! This pint-sized cutie is a 6-year-old Dachshund who weighs 22 lbs. Thelma is a sweet, spunky, and sometimes shy pup who is such a love bug. In new situations, Thelma can be nervous but is quick to warm up and shower you with kisses! Thelma is the ultimate lap dog, who loves nothing more than cuddling with her people. She loves tagging along on her person’s day-to-day adventures, so if you’re looking for a little sidekick, then Thelma may be your girl. She adores car rides and mellow morning walks! Thelma recently completed a training program where she worked on her basics, built her confidence, and honed in on her leash manners. She'll thrive with an adopter who will provide the structure she had at training that helped her majorly grow her confidence! For such a little lady, she would do best with a confident handler on the leash as she continues to perfect the leash manners she started working on at training! Thelma is potty trained and has been working hard on mastering crate training and has made a lot of progress but will need an adopter continued to helping her learn to be confident being left alone. She loves other dogs and would be happy to have a tiny buddy in her forever home but could also be the queen of the castle as a solo pup.
