TUCKER (watch my video!) Male, neutered 3.5 years old Pit bull terrier 60 lbs. Microchipped, up-to-date on core vaccines and takes monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention Good with dogs; untested with cats and kids Tucker has a huge fan club both from his Lovepaws family and his veterinary team - he even has his own Instagram account (lovepaws_tucker)! Tucker was rescued just in time from the euthanasia list of a high-kill shelter and came to Lovepaws in poor conditionunderweight with worn-out pads and elbows and visually impaired. It took a lot of vet visits, specialists and tests to determine what we now believe was the source of his vision loss which was cataracts in both eyes. He has undergone cataract surgery, intensive at-home post-op care and several post-op rechecks with his opthalmologist and is now seeing MUCH better. While we may not know Tucker's full history, he arrived at his foster home fearful of some men and cowered when told "no." He has overcome his fears through the fierce love and devotion of his foster family and despite all of the medical tests he endured, Tucker has remained a cool, calm, and collected sweetheart. He swoons for baby talk, loves walks, and prefers to be by your side night and day! Tucker loves so deeply he's been known to injure his tail from wagging it too hard! He takes treats gently, knows basic commands, and loves nothing more than playing with his toys and napping throughout the day. He loves all types of toys, food, and treats. This gentle boy wants nothing more than a soft spot to lay and someone to call his own. He also gives the BEST hugs and kisses! Don't believe me? Come meet him for yourself and see!
