My Story

We rescued Tupac from the county shelters euthanasia list. They were going to kill him because he was scared and was limping on his back leg. He has been examined by our vet, X-rays were taken and sent to a specialist and they say that he just pulled a muscle, which will take a title time to heal. He does seem to be improving. Tupac loves all other dogs. In fact he personality is completely different depending on if he is around another dog or not. Without other dogs around, he is a very shy boy who is afraid to approach new people. If he gal a pal with him his confidence level shoots much higher and he is a brave little guy. Once he is feeling at ease with new people, he does become very affectionate. He is on the smaller side for a rottweiler. He is a handsome boy though. We believe he is Purebred he was probably the runt of the litter. We do require that the adopter has another dog for Tupac to lean on or that you adopt 2 dogs from us. He is just so much happier with friends. Who can blame him, everybody needs a friend. He walks well on a leash, knows some obedience commands, crate trained, leash trained, well behaved. Not an aggressive bone in his body. All of our dogs would benefit from ongoing training. Our Adoption Process... If you are interested in adopting one of our fun loving not so rotten rotties, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will allows us to get to know you better and to make sure the dog you are looking at is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our questionnaire by going to our website, www.rottenrottie.com click on the forms tab, and fill out the questionnaire and submit it online. After we review your answers, if we feel that the dog that you are interested in, is not a good fit for you and your family, we may recommend a different rottweiler companion. After we determine which Rottweiler(s) is the best for you, we will set up a time so that you can meet him or her at their house, where they will feel most comfortable and act as they normally do. We will require a home check to make sure the dog is going to a good home. An adoption contract will be signed to finalize the adoption and we do ask for a rehoming fee of $500 for most adults, $350 for most of our seniors 6 years and above for any rottweiler mix of any age (except puppies) . Our fees for puppies fluctuate depending on how much we had to invest into them or their litter, and weather they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary so that our organization may continue to rehome rottweilers. ALL of our dogs are sterilized, fully vaccinated and microchipped, heartworm tested negative and come with a collar and a leash. We have also addressed any injury or illness that they had when they came to us, or received in foster care. These problems will be disclosed to the adopter prior to adoption. please be advised that in almost all cases we will not adopt our dogs to folks who live in different states. On rare occasion, if we feel that it is a PERFECT for both you and the dog, we sometimes will break that rule for our neighbors who live in Las Vegas. If you live in Vegas and would like us to consider you, please fill out an application.
