My Story

Meet Tyson! He is a 9 month old neutered Dachshund/Chihuahua mix. Tyson and his brother Itty Bitty arrived here as transfers from another animal shelter. Tyson is the more outgoing of the pair. He's instantly best friends with everyone he meets, and is just so excited to have some attention! Being only 9 months old, he's not fully out of the puppy stage, so he still has plenty of energy to keep you on your toes. He's not fully housebroken yet, so he will need an adopter with the patience to work with him on this. He's such a sweetheart, though, and is ready to go to a home where he can thrive! Tyson has been around other dogs and does great with them all. We have not seen how he would be around cats or kids, however. He hasn't shown us any problems at the shelter, but please keep in mind that adjusting to a new home will be stressful, and he might be scared of children that try to grab him before he's gotten used to his new life. We always recommend a meet and greet with any pets or kids in the home prior to adoption so you can be sure he's the right fit for you. Tyson is up to date on all of his shots and is ready to meet his forever family! If you think you could be the one for our Tyson, stop by and meet him today! P.S. Tyson and his brother, Itty Bitty, do not have to be adopted out together, but if you are interested in both, there is a discount when getting two dogs at once!
