There are few things that make dog lovers happier than an adoptable dog who is playful, dog-friendly, gives gentle kisses and is respectful of cats! Chance here is one of those! He has a face that practically forces you to smile, the little under-bite, the floppy ears, his cool markings- it’s just a bunch of absolute cuteness.
We believe Chance is some type of American Bully, the underbite is giving bulldog. He currently weighs 44 lbs. and will likely only gain a few more pounds before he is a full-grown adult. As for age its always a bit of an educated guess but we believe he is in the teenager portion of his puppy days, just shy of a year old at 11 months old. His maturity is showing but with puppy like enthusiasm for play, learning and adventures.
Chance has been fortunate to be waiting out his adoption day in a foster home. This is something I like to share because it is such an important key to getting a jump-start on the skills it takes to be a good house dog while giving us a front row seat to his personality. His foster parents shared that he has been so fun to host. They praise his playful and polite approach to their family pets including two cats and two dogs. He is very playful and gravitates to the more playful of the two dogs, enjoying both rough and tumble play and bouncing around in the yard together. With the house cats he is incredibly respectful! The way he tries to “play” with one of the cats while keeping a respectful distance is absolutely adorable! Take a look for yourself in his Get-to-know Chance video here- https://youtu.be/xHyU6fRrFE8
On top of that he is house and crate trained! When it comes to his crate he goes in easily when asked and is quiet- no whining or barking here. This is also how he is used to traveling in a car so road trips have been a breeze. During his visit to the rescue, he was introduced to new dogs on-leash and off. His friendly approach to everyday he met made it very easy to build a playgroup around him. He really showed his dog-friendly, playful way and he would be a wonderful doggie daycare boy if you that is something you are looking for. He is happy to be the one to initiate play and can easily read when a dog is not interested, moving on to a new friend. He is so versatile, no pushy playmate here!
An ideal home for Chance would include a playful dog, a yard, occasional adventures and treats! He loves a good treat and giving him one is just as enjoyable. His little underbite makes watching him chew a crunch treat is a perfect cheer-me-up moment. Another awesome thing about Chance and where he may fit in a home, he is cat-tolerant! Having lived with cats in his foster home, we would go so far as to say he is cat-friendly. He would love a cat that was dog-savvy and would on occasion “play” with him. He will be gentle and respectful either way!
We have not heard Chance make much of any noise, including when playing with other dogs or at the door. He is also great on-leash! He walks calmly, at an easy pace and passes dogs with a playful interest but isn’t insistent on meeting them. It is easy to keep him moving. Chance is an easy boy to fall for- a fun-loving, sweet, and playful pup who wants nothing more than a family to call his own. Is that you?

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.
While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
