My Story

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/gener. You can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/. Dog's Name: Velma (VEL1024LMUFS) Estimated Breed: Terrier MIX Approximate Age: 2 years Approximate Weight: 44 lbs Currently Living at: Boarding Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Say hello to Velma! She is a young and vibrant soul whose sweetness and loyalty are unmatched. Velma likes it quiet and would thrive in a serene environment. She has a particular fondness for calm older dogs, finding comfort and companionship in their presence. She loves her walks and is polite on leash. Velma is always eager to explore the world around her, and her toys are her most prized possessions. She longs for the day when she will become a cherished and beloved family member. Do you have room in your heart and home for this lovable girl? Fill out an application today! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at [email protected] SPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!
