“Hi everyone. My name is Venus. I was found along with a dog that may be my mommy and her name is Violet (who appears to be a Rat Terrier (maybe mix) and now weighs 18lbs) and we were skin and bones. We had been on our own scrounging for food and water and cover when the weather was bad. Thankfully a nice lady got us into a crate and found rescue cause nobody was looking for us. We are so grateful.” Adoptable 8 month old Venus is so funny. She’s only 25lbs but has a big personality. Her favorite game is to take all the toys outside and hide them under the playset with the slide. It’s absolutely adorable. She’s a little smartie too, already learning multiple commands like sit. She will be ready for a furever home after her spay on 2/27. Venus is house trained and is using a doggy door to do her biz whenever she needs to. (As is her sidekick Violet). We will soon be working on leash walking with a collar and also with a harness. Venus’ dream home would have a fenced backyard because she LOVES to play! She also loves the 6 other dogs in her foster home and pays no attention to the cats. Venus was vetted at Danville Family Vet. She received her first distemper parvo vaccine as well as Bordetella (kennel cough), Lepto, Lyme and Rabies vaccines. She was screened for parasites and dewormed and has her very own microchip too. Venus goes back on 2/27 for her vaccine boosters, flu vaccine, another parasite screening and her spay. You can meet Venus in her foster home near Yanceyville, NC, about an hour from Durham and 20 minutes from Danville, VA, once your application is approved. We know you will fall in love.
