My Story

Hi there, I’m Vixen! I came all the way from a shelter in Kentucky, and I’m ready to find my forever home! At just 7 months old and weighing 31 pounds, I’m a fun-loving, affectionate pup with lots of love to give. In my foster home, I’ve been living with both small and big dogs, and I get along great with everyone! I haven’t met any cats yet, so I’m not sure how I’d do with them, but I’m open to meeting new friends. I absolutely adore people and am always up for some playtime or snuggles. I’ve been learning some important things like potty and crate training – my foster mom even leaves the TV on for me, and I’ve discovered that Bluey and NFL games are my favorites! When I’m not lounging in my crate, I love to snuggle up with my people. I think I’d do best in a home with a fenced yard where I can run and play safely. And, oh, I’ve recently discovered peanut butter, and let me tell you, it’s a game-changer! I’m looking for a family who will give me the love and attention I deserve. Could that be you? Let’s make my dream of having a forever family come true!” If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! The adoption fee of $450 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed! *please note that we are a foster home based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.
