Name: Walker Best Guess for Breed: Dachshund and spaniel mix Best Guess for Age: 1.5 years as of February 2025 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 19 lbs Gets Along With: Walker does well with other dogs. We haven't seen him with kids or cats but he can be tested if you have them. Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get his freedom ride up here. Special adoption considerations: When Walker arrived in the shelter, hewas pretty confused and shy. However, he has been making great strides. We think Walker would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure he can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to continue to build confidence. Walker is Looking For: This incredibly adorable little pup landed in the shelter through no fault of his own and he's eagerly looking forward to once again having his own humans for - what else - walks! Long sniffy walks, romps in parks, and all the adventures his family can dream up. Shelter staff say he is very, very sweet, and a little shy right now - being in the shelter is not awesome.
