He is very treat-motivated and has shown a willingness to engage in positive interactions when given the time and space to adjust. He is still working on feeling comfortable with leashing and handling, but with consistent, gentle handling, he has shown that he can relax and accept calm touch. Walnut will need a patient adopter who can help him continue building confidence through positive reinforcement. Walnut needs a quiet, calm environment with adopters who are willing to continue his training and provide him with the structure he needs. He will thrive with someone who understands his need for time and space as he adjusts to new experiences. A home without loud or unpredictable activity, where Walnut can continue to learn at his own pace, would be ideal.
