Adopted
Breed
Black Labrador Retriever & German Wirehaired Pointer Mix
You know those puppies with the soulful eyes and who exude calmness and love - that's Walter. Walter Mitty is an old soul in the body of the puppy. This adorable 14 week old sweet boy is looking for a family that will love him, adore him and provide him all the comforts.
Walter and his 3 other siblings were abandoned in Eastern Oregon near a trash bin and a high dump area. Fortunately, some very kind people took them in and made sure they were cared for and got into rescue.
We believe Walter is a Black Labrador mixed with a wire haired pointer. The beard and the little white wire furs that stick up all over is the cutest thing. This boy is so very gentle and cuddly. He loves to watch all the happenings around him. He's been shy when meeting new people and loves to lean and cuddle with a person. Once this boy settles in (takes about 30 minutes) he loves to play, chase balls and cuddle. Walter loves playing with other dogs and his ideal home would have another play buddy. He will be a big dog - we estimate between 75-85lbs.
If you love to drive and go on adventures this is your boy! He LOVES to go in the car and lays down to await where the journey will take him.
He's great with kids and while he hasn't been around cats, some of his siblings have been and they are fast friends.
He loves playing with toys (chasing balls is a fav). He's been going to his foster's vet office every day and is a huge hit. He loves being around people and other dogs. He will be easy to integrate into your family. You just need to give him a little time to settle in. Walter deserves a family who will adore and obsess over him. He's a very special boy.
