My Story

Western Jones just may be the partner for you, Cowboy! We believe Western Jones is a mix of Shih Tzu, chihuahua and some sort of terrier - in other words a perfect little mix. He is fully grown at 12 lbs and is about 1 year old. He came into our rescue as an owner surrender. As far as personality and temperament he is pretty dreamy! He loves to go f or long walks and does very well on a leash. He is great trained, loves other dogs and is very playful. If you are interested in training a dog to do tricks he may just be your guy as he is highly “treat” motivated. He does well with a schedule and is an all around great little dude! He has not yet been tested with cats but is great with other dogs and all people. Interested in becoming this pup’s forever home? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and the perfect forever home for our dogs. We appreciate you working with us. Our adoption fees cover spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
