Wilbur

Everyone meet our handsome ham, Wilbur ??? Wilbur was abandoned at our clinic by -who we think were- his owners during one of our first snow storms this year. Look at that face !!! How could you turn those ears away?! We couldn’t. Wilbur is a VERY happy man! He loves having all the attention on him. He knows basic commands like sit and stay, but has a hard time with manners and personal space. He’s a very playful guy, but sometimes lets his excitement get the best of him. He needs a family that understands he will need training and a consistent routine. Wilbur would do best in a home with no children, or with older children that have experience with over excited dogs as he can get pretty mouthy when he’s riled up! If adopted from us, he would also need to be the only pet in the home as he is a bit too much for cats, and very insecure and iffy around other dogs. However if he is pulled by a rescue and placed in a home that has experience with special boys like him, he may be able to coexisted with other dogs one day! We are just limited in any dog positive socialization we can provide him right now.
