Winnie is Looking For: This sweetie arrived into our care nursing her babies Waldo, Wallace, Winston, and Wren. She was an awesome mama to them, and they're off to get their forever homes. Now it is HER turn to enjoy her youth, and she's ready to explore the world by your side. Long sniffy walks, romps in parks, trips to the mountains, the beach - yes, please! Most of all, though, she wants to be safe and loved for all her days, to know where she belongs. In exchange, she promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship. What do you say? Is she the one you see by your side?
What My Foster Says About Me: Winnie is happy, curious, and very loving. She is all about snuggles and cuddles - she will lean on me, mashing into me, and then collapse into a puddle, begging for belly scratches. Her compact size is perfect for that! She's also very friendly with my dogs - happy to see them and feeling them out to see if they might be pals.
On leash, she is eager to sniff and explore, and takes such pleasure in her walks. In the home, she sleeps quietly overnight in her crate and goes into there willingly. When she comes out - oh, the joy! She is just so happy to see what happens next. She shows many signs of having lived in a home before - she hasn't had any potty accidents in the home, knows what the kitchen is for, and used stairs easily from the time she arrived.
She is treat motivated and will freeze, just waiting to see what she has to do for that treat. Training her will be fun. Winnie really is just such a great dog, and she and her forever family will be very lucky to have each other.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
