My Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Winnie (SC) is a female Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix rescued in South Carolina. Our veterinary partner estimates that Winnie is 3 years old at the time of intake in July 2023. Winnie is good with people and other dogs. This little pup with the adorable face has somehow survived a terrible life that culminated in her ending up in a shelter with a horribly fractured leg. Her ribs were sticking out and she was a hot mess. But after excellent veterinary care and surgery to remove her damaged leg, Winnie is ready to start living the happy life that she deserves. Winnie is a happy little lady, she has no fear of anyone and zooms around like she's got 4 legs! She's definitely a southern girl and while everyone else is hiding inside from the heat, Winnie can be found sunbathing in the yard! She lays in her crate during the day while her foster Mom is working or she will find a sunny spot to stretch out. Winnie is so sweet and friendly and just wants to be loved. If you can love Winnie forever, keep her safe and happy, please apply online to adopt Winnie (SC) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue. All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.
