My Story

Winston is located in Virgina Beach, VA (transport available) What is the Animals Breed? Mixed breed Winston is Very quiet and submissive. He is timid towards strangers at first but warms up quickly. He loves other dogs and would benefit from being in a home with at least one other dog. He warms up to people very quickly. ? He was found abandoned with his siblings on a rural road. He loves stuffed bones, kongs, and stuffed squeaky toys. He is on Purina One dry food, ¾ cup 2xday Is the animal Spayed or neutered? Yes (scheduled for Jan 19) Up-to-date on shots and on heart-worm prevention heartworms negative.& microchipped He loves his crate and would do well in a home that will provide him with his own crate and blanket for him to nap he is good with dogs, cats Unknown but most likely he is walked 1-2 times a day and he has many opportunities to socialize with my other dogs on a daily basis. He is timid with everyone at first but warms up Walks good on leash and He knows sit, no, drop-it, and how to walk on a leash. He will continue to be taught commands as he stays in my home. Rides well in cars He MUST be moved to a new foster on February 10, 2025 Winston is a great pup and bound to become an amazing companion for someone. Though he timid, he has not shown an ounce of aggression towards me, my husband, or our other animals. He would benefit from being in a home with at least another dog to play with – he currently plays with a male and a female dog with no problems. He would also benefit from having his own crate and space where he can feel space, especially the first few days when he’s adjusting to his new home. He learns SO quickly. I taught him “sit” in about 2 minutes and he does amazing on the leash – he doesn’t pull Videos available upon request
