My Story

Woody was found as a stray in a rural town we help. He had a sever injury to his back right leg and desperately needed veterinary care. We got him in to see our veterinary partner, and it was determined that he needed to have his leg amputated. One of our selfless fosters agreed to bring him into her home and help him recover after the surgery. Unfortunately, this is very common where we rescue and we see it daily A few days after Woody’s surgery he started to show us his real personality. Despite what he has been through, he is a sweet and lovable boy. He just needed a chance to live a better life. Woody is a calm guy and loves a comfy dog bed. He likes to be held and is very affectionate. He is crate trained and house trained. He has done good learning to balance on three legs and he will continue to get stronger. Since we don’t know anything about his past, we are guessing his breed based on his markings. He looks similar to a Jack Russell Terrier and is 1 year old. He is full grown and currently weighs 12 pounds. He has been neutered, vaccinated for DHPP, bordetella vaccinated, rabies vaccinated, microchipped and is current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention. He will arrive in the Pacific Northwest on 4/6. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the application found here: https://throwadogabone.org/adopt We respond to all inquiries.
