Zac’s friendly nature extends to other dogs, too. He’s part of a playgroup with four other dogs and does amazing every time, getting along beautifully with his furry friends. Whether it’s a playful romp or just hanging out, Zac knows how to be a good buddy. And while he adores being with people and other dogs, he’s also content to self-entertain or take a quiet slumber on his own when needed. He’s the perfect mix of social and independent, making him a wonderfully adaptable companion.
There isn’t a single stranger in Zac’s world; everyone is a friend he hasn’t met yet. His heart is as big as his eyes are soulful, greeting each new person with warmth and gentle excitement. He’s happiest when he’s with people, whether that means lying across your lap during a quiet evening or sharing a playful moment that makes him wiggle with joy. He’s incredibly patient and sweet during grooming, too—nail trims, brushing, ear cleaning, you name it. For Zac, it’s just another chance to be near you and feel your gentle touch.
A note about adopting animals from the Houston, TX area: Based on statistics, animals from this area are ranked some of the most desperate in the US. Euthanasia rates are incredibly high for both puppies and adult dogs. While this dog is protected in our care, there are many others waiting for their opportunity to enter a program like this one and be given a second chance.

Available for adoption in VA, PA, CT, VT, NY, UT, ID, OR, TX, WA, & OH. Our dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. Our Adoption Coordinator will help to find the closest transport pick up location to you!
The adoption fee is $500 for those being transported and $75 for those being picked up at our Angleton Tx location. It covers the cost of transport and includes all vetting: DAPP, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, spay/neuter, flea prevention, heartworm testing and prevention, micro-chipping, a collar and leash, a complete summary of their medical records emailed to you, and many years of laughs and love to come!

We know our dogs very well and have spent countless hours with them, learning all of their quirks and goofy personalities. We have a team of dedicated animal care professionals that work day in and day out to bring every Little Hero out of their shell. From the moment they are accepted into our program we provide behavior & medical care to prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally training, and providing social enrichment. We provide socialization for our dogs through playgroups and one on one bonding time, where we will also work on their other skills such as leash training and basic commands. Our goal is to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts and just want someone to be understanding with them, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!
