Zara

Zara is a feisty personality packed into a little, leggy pup. She’s an 11 month old, 16 lb terrier mix. She is fostered in a home with 3 pups (all sizes) she is playful and curious, respectful of our little dog and does not chase or like to be chased. She will run to you for safety and cuddles. If you are sitting down, please plan to have her on your lap and preferably with a fuzzy blanket covering her (that is her favorite). She will use her voice to initiate play with her dog friends or let you know the delivery truck has arrived but is otherwise a quiet girl. She goes potty outside and will let you know she needs to go. Very food and treat motivated. Loves to do zoomies through the yard but 1 or 2 is enough and she’s back at the door to come in and get warm snuggles and treats. Want to Adopt? 1) Fill out an application on theluckypuppy.org The adoption fees for puppies up to 12 months are a minimum donation of $600, (dogs too young to be fixed will have an extra $200 deposit, refundable pending your spay/neuter agreement), 1 year and up are a minimum donation of $500, 7+ years or special needs are a minimum $400 donation 2) Once your application is in, our adoption coordinator will contact you and complete a vet check and home visit (possibly electronic). 3) Once approved, please schedule a meet and greet to see the dogs. Meet and greets are by appointment only for approved adopters. Zara is available in NY through the Go North Program of The Lucky Puppy Rescue, rescue based in Bonifay and Panama City, FL and adoption center in Argyle NY (NY Lic #1054). The minimum donation $600 adoption fee includes transportation from FL to NY, spay/neuter surgery or spay/neuter agreement (if too young), up to date with: age appropriate vaccinations, de-worming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention (if old enough) and martingale safety collar.
