My Story

Zara is a female Husky around 4 yrs old, neutered, and around 45 lbs. She absolutely loves wrestling with her foster brothers and would probably do best in a home with at least one other dog, so far she's gotten along well with every new dog she's met and definitely gets some reassurance and confidence from the other dogs being around. Zara loves to go to the dog park and for car rides in general. She has good leash manners and sticks right by your side. Zara has been tested with cats and very much has loved and been patient with all the cats she has met. She loves dogs and cats but is slow to trust humans and will require someone patient. Zara seems to warm up faster to women but with time she has warmed up to men. She has not been food or toy possessive but does sometimes want some space. Zara is potty trained. Zara is wary of crates for now but has been getting more comfortable with them over time. She seems to be well-behaved when left at home outside of a crate though, she isn't destructive and doesn't generally get into trouble. The worst she seems to do is relocate shoes where she thinks they should be but then leaves them alone after that. Zara has not been tested with small children and we believe she would do best in a home without small children since she is easily spooked, at least for now. She's never shown any aggression though, she'll just very vocally let you know when she doesn't like something. Zara’s adoption fee is $225, if you are interested in making Zara part of your family please fill out an application at HomewardBownd.org
