My Story

** $35 in pledges to the rescue that pulls ** Meet Zeus, a gentle giant with a calm and laid-back personality. Zeus enjoys leisurely strolls, especially on sunny days, but he's also a fan of taking breaks in the shade to relax. He's known for his love of belly rubs-once he finds a cozy spot, he's happy to roll over and enjoy some affection. Zeus is well-mannered and he walks nicely on his leash, prefering to stay close to his handler. He's likely housetrained, as he takes care of his business soon after getting outside. Though Zeus is a big boy, he takes treats gently and likes them broken into small pieces. If you're looking for a loyal, laid-back companion who enjoys the simple things in life, Zeus could be your perfect match. Eligible for rescue, foster, and adoption. Meet Zeus at ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Behavioral notes: 8/25/24 volunteer notes: Zeus has a very relaxed personality. As much as he liked going for a walk on this beautiful sunny day, Zeus made sure to take a break whenever we could find a shaded spot. Zeus would lounge under the tree, lie onto his stomach, and then roll onto his side for belly rubs. He is a very gentle and affectionate boy. Someone had written that Zeus does not like beef. But he was delighted to eat the beef jerky treats that I offered him. For a big boy, Zeus eats by taking small bites and liked when I broke the treats into little pieces for him. When I would ask him to sit, he would just drop down onto his belly. He never pulled and walked close to me. Zeus appears housetrained as he went to the bathroom several times after we exited the building. I had no issues taking him out of his kennel or returning him. Zeus is a calm and sweet boy. 8/23/24 staff notes: Took Zeus out for a brief walk. Found him bright, nonreactive, treat-motivated, and presenting at the front of the kennel. No issues leashing or returning to kennel. Outside, he walked well on leash, and demurely sniffed around - not tense, but not particularly loose either. Peed and pooped outside.
