My Story
Meet Zeus Moose! I’m a 5-month-old pitbull mix with a heart as big as my name, and I’m searching for my forever family. Sadly, my previous family’s landlord wouldn’t let me stay, so now I’m on the lookout for a home where I can truly belong. I’ve grown up surrounded by love, playing with my dog siblings and snuggling with the little humans in my life. I’m full of playful energy and always ready for a game of fetch or a romp in the yard, but I also love relaxing on the couch for some cozy cuddles after a busy day.
Since I spent some time outside before, I’m not fully house trained yet, but with consistency and positive reinforcement, I’ll pick it up quickly—I promise! My dream home will have another dog for me to play with, human kids to grow up with, and a secure yard where I can safely run and explore. I’ll be neutered when I’m old enough and am ready to start a new chapter with a family who will love me forever. Think we’re a match? Apply today and let’s make it official!

**Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).
The adoption fee for puppies covers initial deworming, puppy vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter at the rescue's approved vet at 6 months of age. Please see our website for more information.
2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250

*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our puppies live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!

Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as Pet Finder, and are no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.
