Meet Zilla, a gentle 9-year-old soul with a big heart and a lot of love to give. This sweet boy knows his name and is ready to settle into a cozy home after the heartbreaking loss of his owner. Zilla is house-trained, knows basic training cues, and is great with children, cats, and even reptiles! While he prefers to be the only dog in the home, he is otherwise a friendly and loyal companion. Zilla thrives when left out in a safe space, as crates are not his comfort zone. Baby gates or closed doors are a much better fit for this easy-going guy. While he has a history of requiring sedation for medical procedures, this is simply a reflection of past experiences, and with the right care and understanding, Zilla's gentle and sweet nature shines through. Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
