My Story

Courtesy Posting: COTATI (SONOMA COUNTY), CA (N CAL)- PLEASE HELP US FIND A FOREVER HOME FOR YOUNG ZOEY WHO WAS ABANDONED AS A PUPPY AND IS NOW READY FOR A LOVING FAMILY Zoey is an adorable 25 lb chow teddy bear who is estimated to be almost 1 year old and is very petite for her breed. She is described by her foster as affectionate, and said to love hugs and kisses. Dear Zoey was originally found abandoned with a fractured pelvis and ended up at a high kill shelter several months ago. A local rescue saved her, brought her to the vet, and Zoey has now thankfully healed. Her foster says she is active and runs and jumps just like any other young dog. Zoey is also inquisitive and really wants to bond tightly with her people. Other fun facts about Zoey. She has a unique, quirky personality, and sometimes likes to gather fuzzy slippers and fancy boots! Since she is still a juvenile, though, Zoey should have continued training and guidance. Fortunately, she is very interested in learning and responds well to correction. Her foster family has also been diligent in her socialization with others. As a Bay Area gal, Zoey has gone to many outdoor events like beer and wine festivals where she's been comfortable greeting unfamiliar people. However, Zoey is noted as having a high prey drive, meaning it's probably a good idea her new home not have any cats, birds and other little critters which will trigger her naughty girl instincts. If you have another dog, a meet and greet is requested. Zoey is now ready for adoption, and is expected to be even fluffier once her coat grows fully back (she was shaved a few months ago when treated). She is fully vaccinated and spayed. If you would like to give this special and deserving little chow girl a forever family and lots of love, please contact Robin at [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who can connect you with her foster and rescue in Nor Cal. We will post updates on her FB page at: https://www.facebook.com/debbie.alder.14/posts/pfbid0yggqdiNCq8vj1ZBgrcLhzLH1f3JkTsfPaBt7SUuvBFZHYPuRf7h9N2yQudvC5DTwl Note: to view contents of link, you will need to copy and paste the link into your browser.
